Another day of riding. Another day of ups and downs and another day of whining. Today took us through the vibrant cities of Combs and Hazard, KY. We are still in Appalachia, coal trucks and mean dogs are still present We did get a a late start riding because of fog, but once on the road we pushed through to Booneville. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Booneville we were going to stay at a church at the edge of town. However when we got there the place was deserted, there were no toilets, showers or running water. Plus the winds were whipping and it felt chilly. Fortuneately, Bill and Greg met a woman in the Dollar General store and made connections that allowed us to stay at a different church in the middle of town. The pastor let us in the church. It had everything you wanted from a ceiling, showers, toilet and a full commercial kitchen. It was another early night to bed for we were all tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
